will develop the lesson. The information that the teacher wants
the student to know when the lesson is completed will be stated
and all activities will be created to ensure that the final
product accomplishes that goal. Students will collect information
on a specific location in order to survive a five-day stay. Each
student will pack his/her food, clothing, equipment, etc. in one
large backpack.
2. The class will meet in the LMC and
discuss the Task Development, Information Seeking Strategies, and
Location and Access of Materials. The teacher will inform the
students of the complete requirements for the assignment and how
they will be graded.
3. The class will be divided into
cooperative learning groups and select a specific geographical
location for research. Each group will research the physical
conditions of their location and information on the basic
requirements to sustain human life. Students will brainstorm to
make a list of psychological qualities and characteristics needed
to enable them to survive the ordeal.
