The Louisiana Association of School Librarians (LASL) will be hosting our annual LASL Professional Development Day on January 10, 2026 at Captain Shreve High School in Shreveport, Louisiana.  School librarians from elementary, middle, and high schools are invited and encouraged to attend.  The morning will be filled with breakout sessions, and, after lunch, we will break out into groups based on the division of your library (elementary, middle, high school) for discussion and brainstorming.  There will also be time for retired school librarians to meet.  You do not have to be a member of LLA or LASL to attend.  If you have any questions, please reach out to geauxlasl@gmail.com

MEMBERS: $15.00

NON-MEMBERS: $30.00

RETIRED LIBRARIANS: FREE

PRESENTERS: FREE* (Special code required)

*Submit a proposal to present HERE. Program proposals are due by December 1st. You will be notified of accepted proposals by December 8th and receive a code for free registration. 

LUNCH

Lunch will be provided by Herbie Thorpe of Mackin. Please reach out to GeauxLASL@gmail.com if you need a vegetarian/vegan option and/or with any food allergies.  

Online Registration closes Thursday, January 3, 2025. In-person registrations will be accepted at the event.
